Now we give details description of these two terms:

Hypertext: Hypertext refers to a word, phrase or chunk of text that can be linked to another document or text. In other words, we can say it is the "text within the text".  Hypertext is a feature of some computer programs that allow the user of electronic media to select a word from the text and receive additional information pertaining to that word, such as a definition or related references within the text. HyperText is a way to link two or more web pages (HTML documents) with each other.

Markup Language: A markup language is a computer language that uses tags to define elements within a document. It is human-readable, meaning markup files contain standard words, rather than typical programming syntax. While several markup languages exist, the two most popular are HTML. HTML is a markup language used for creating web pages.
